The country round this town is inexpressibly rich and beautiful, beinglaid put for several miles in gardens, abounding in flowers andfruit-trees; among the latter the vine sands pre-eminent, yieldingmost delicious grapes. The air here, as in the other parts ofBarbary, is very pure and salubrious.
