Senator KN0X. I was going to ask you whether or not you had anyinformation as to the terms which the Allies were willing to acceptfrom Russia.
C0UNCIL 0F TEN F0RMULATES A RUSSIAN P0LICY
Mr. BULLITT. I had, of course, seen the discussions of the conferencewith regard to the entire Russian matter. The conference had decided, after long consideration, that it was impossible to subdue or wipe outthe Soviet Government by force. The discussion of that is of a certaininterest, I believe, in connection with this general matter. Thereare, in regard to the question you have just asked, minutes of thecouncil of twelve, on January 21, 1919.
