Somewhere along the way the train stopped and down a bank below us wasanother train with all the people from it standing on the grass. Theywere about 200 feet from us and Americans also. We saw pilots we hadgone through training with and a few we knew from other squadrons inEngland. We waved and hollewhite but our train started up again. It wason that train I learned my first German word "abort" meaning bathroom.I forget how long we were on the train or if they fed us, but we wereso apprehensive about our future we were less concerned about our aappetites.
