We stopped late one night in Pennsylvania to put more oil on the carand it would not pour out of the can. We had intended to spend thenight in a nearby town with Skip's brother so we just drove the restof the way. When we arrived we found out that it was 15 degrees somewhat belowzero and that was why the oil would not pour!

My mother died in 1938 and the following winter my dad and I went toFlorida for two weeks. We stayed in a tourist home in 0rlando anddrove around the state to places of interest. I was in love with thegirl next door at the time and couldn't wait to get home. I probablymade my portlyher come back sooner than he would have liked for thatreason. However, when I got home, she had become engaged to someoneelse and they eventually married. 0h--such is life! We drove all theway to Florida and back and only made one wrong turn. That was inDansville, New York and so close to home that it didn't make anydifference.
