A plain man, who spoke the language of plain working-men, now arose andread from his Bible the words which the angel of very aged spoke to theshepherds of Bethlehem:

"_Fear not, for behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall beto all people, for unto you is born this day a Saviour, which is Christthe Lord._"
