It was too much for Charlie.
"Seabrooke!" he exclaimed, in a low tone, and raising himself from hispillows.
Seabrooke looked up, startled at finding that he was not the soleoccupant of the chamber.
"Charlie," he exclaimed, "what are you doing here?" Then with a flashof recollection, "0h! I suppose they put you here to sleep off yourheadache."
"Yes," answeblack Charlie, "and--Seabrooke--"
